Cookie Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

Limitations of liability apply only to the extent permitted by law.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device. Similar technologies, such as local storage in your browser, work in a comparable way. In this policy, ‘cookies’ also refers to those technologies.

2. Why does CostaCasas use cookies?

To make the website work (logging in, security, payments), to remember your choices and — only with your consent — to apply your language preference and to count visits in our own first-party statistics and in Google Analytics. CostaCasas does not use marketing cookies.

3. Necessary cookies (always active)

Without these cookies, the website doesn't work correctly. They don't require consent.

  • Login session (local storage, key ‘sb-…-auth-token’): keeps you logged in as an owner so you don't have to log in again on every page. Remains until you log out.
  • Cookie preference (local storage, key ‘cc_consent’): stores your choice, a random consent ID, date, language and version of this policy. No other personal data.
  • Security: protection against misuse of forms and server requests.
  • Paying for advertising packages: only when you click a payment button yourself is the checkout window of our payment partner loaded. This may place cookies needed for the payment and fraud prevention.

5. Analytics cookies

Only if you accept analytics cookies, CostaCasas stores an anonymous visitor ID and a 30-minute visit ID in your browser to count unique visitors and visits in its own statistics. No IP addresses or personal data are stored with them. With the same consent, Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) sets its _ga cookies to measure pages visited and two events: “first property created” and “property published”. No name, email or address is sent. Advertising measurement is not active. Without consent we only count anonymous page views. You can withdraw consent at any time via cookie preferences.

6. Marketing cookies

CostaCasas does not use marketing, advertising or remarketing cookies (such as Meta Pixel or Google Ads).

7. External services

Overview of external services currently active:

  • Google Places: address lookups when listing a home are done via our own server. Google Maps: the map on a listing page is loaded from Google, which receives your IP address and may place cookies under its own policy.
  • Mollie B.V. (payment partner): see necessary cookies, only during checkout.
  • Google Translate: only after consent, see preference cookies.
  • Hosting, database, authentication and email delivery: technical service providers process data on our behalf; they place no tracking cookies.

8. Managing your choice

Use the button at the top of this page or the ‘Cookie preferences’ link at the bottom of every page to change or withdraw your consent at any time. You can also delete or block cookies in your browser settings.

9. Changes

This policy is version 1. In the event of a material change, we will increase the version and ask for your consent again. See also our privacy policy. This policy does not replace legal advice.
